Fabrication of an aesthetically pleasing

The interaction between chromatic dentin and the translucent incisal area in the visible anterior tooth region has previously been a limiting factor for the use of CAD/CAM systems. CEREC Blocs C In and the software algorithm set for these blocks have changed this.

CEREC Blocs C In

The blocks consist of an inner core of highly chromatic dentin covered by a translucent layer of enamel. The dentin cores are modeled after the shape of dentin in natural teeth. The outer shape of the tooth is determined by the biogeneric data in the software. An algorithm integrated in the software aids for the right positioning of the restoration in the block, so that the exact tooth color selected by the user is achieved and an aesthetically pleasing is possible.

The dentin core is used from both sides, so the same core can be used for very narrow front teeth in the lower jaw as well as for wide front teeth in the upper jaw..

The dentist can enter the tooth color and thickness of the incisal enamel in the software. After this data is entered, the algorithm automatically positions the crown in the block in the position suitable for the color indicated.

The user can individually adjust the patient‘s enamel substance without losing  the desired color in the incisal area.

Feldspar ceramics for aesthetic chairside/labside restorations

The CEREC Blocs and CEREC Blocs PC consist of a finely structured feldspar ceramic material which is biocompatible and resembles natural tooth enamel with regard to shading, strength and abrasion resistance.

Thanks to the outstandingly fine structures and the sophisticated manufacturing process, restorations made of these materials can be placed immediately after milling and polishing.

CEREC Blocs PC Polychromatic – for natural-looking anterior and posterior crowns

The CEREC Blocs PC consist of three layers, each with a different color saturation (chroma). This permits the optimum adaptation of the restoration in terms of translucency and intensity.

The combination of a translucent upper layer, an intermediate dentine layer with a normal shade intensity and a strongly pigmented lower layer delivers optimum aesthetic results in the anterior and posterior region.

Multilayer with CEREC Blocs 40 (PC):

In combination with the CEREC Blocs 40 PC, multilayer technology provides an extremely rational method for fabricating all-ceramic bridges and crowns. The software splits the anatomically sized software proposal into two parts: the framework is milled out of zirconium dioxide (inCoris ZI), and the veneers out of feldspar ceramic (CEREC Blocs).

The Sirona CEREC shade system helps you achieve the perfect match. It combines the simplicity of the VITA system and the diversity of the 3D Master system.

The CEREC Blocs are available in the standard sizes 8, 10, 12 and 14 in a choice of three saturations: translucent (T), medium (M) and opaque (O).

In addition, the polychromatic CEREC Blocs are available in the sizes 12, 14 and 14/14 and the shades S2-PC, S3-PC and S4-PC.
