Around 1,200 Sirona employees take the Weststadthalle sports arena by storm

Bensheim. On 15 June the complete Sirona workforce in Bensheim, plus the management and numerous guests of honor, gathered in the Weststadthalle to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Bensheim production plant under the motto “50 years of Bensheim. From Bensheim to the entire world.”
Those who are familiar with the Weststadthalle from the games of the Flames handball team could hardly believe their eyes. A luxurious black carpet, white ceiling hangings and a fantastic light installation had transformed this sports venue into a ballroom. The festive white table settings for the 1,200 guests were bathed in Sirona’s corporate colors. The gala dinner and the program of entertainment offered numerous highlights. Artistic waiters juggled with plates and walked on their hands through the aisles. The local comedy star Bodo Bach evoked waves of laughter and the Freddy Wonder Combo provided the perfect musical accompaniment for each item on the program. After the official proceedings had been completed, the guests took to the dance floor and the atmosphere reached fever pitch. Later in the evening the guests either enjoyed the warm summer weather in the open-air bars or congregated in the Sirona Disco, where the party continued until the early hours of the morning.
Sirona, the world’s leading dental equipment producer, can trace its roots back 135 years to 1877. The company has been located in Bensheim for exactly 50 years. In 1962, with the aim of increasing its capacity, Siemens Reiniger built a new production plant on the south-western fringes of Bensheim. In the following years the plant was systematically expanded. Today Sirona is the dental industry’s acknowledged technology pioneer and market leader, with business operations at 24 locations worldwide, plus a global sales and service network
